Greeting Austin yesterday afternoon I jotted a few first thoughts as I was driving through the wide open space of Austin.

– Greener than expected.

– Was hoping to find my favorite tree, palm trees, but they don’t exists here.

– Gas is way cheaper than the northwest. Wish I could take some extra fuel with me.

-I hear everything is bigger in Texas, and I am still waiting to see it’s bigness. 🙂

-Sunnnyyyy. Even with sunglasses I was squinting. My eyeballs are in shock. Maybe that’s due to the fact when I left PDX it was dark and raining.
