Seeking refuge I came to the ocean shores with heart abandoned, seeking God–asking him to shower my heart with peace. I longed for rest…rest for an emotionally tired soul. Morning by morning I sought his Holy Words coming back to the same verses in Psalms 62 over and over. Each morning I asked, how do I find rest in you alone?  I had to let it all go. Surrender–lay it down–abandon everything and allow Christ to be my ROCK when all other ground is sinking sand.

My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him.

 He alone is my ROCK and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
