Complicate my life.

Trials, lingering over my soul waiting to drown me into quitting. Those moments of feeling I just can’t take one more step because I’m too exhausted, God is right beside me, steadying my heart. He shows up in the dark of the night leading with his light. And in those scary moments nothing else matters, except the goal of getting close to Him. My protector has come. Holding me in the palm of His hand.

Troubles change our perspective, alter our hearts and drop us to our knees.

It’s learning to rejoice in the pain because we know it produces perseverance, perseverance character, and character hope.

To quote a line from a book I’m reading,

“Complicate my life Lord.”

Romans 5: 3-5 We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!
