Today we are sustained.
Not tomorrow or yesterday.
Today.

Today we are delivered.
Not tomorrow or yesterday.
Today.

Today we are given our daily bread.
Not the bread of yesterday or tomorrow.
Today.

Today we live in the moments that are weaved together.
Not turning our heads back or straining ahead for the future.
We live in the gift of today.

Today we are filled with strength to face the day.
Not strength for yesterday or tomorrow.
Strength for today.

Today we find rest for the weary soul.
Not yesterday or tomorrow.
Today.

Today he promises to sustain & deliver us. Today he holds us. Today he carries us.
And when night falls & early morning rises bringing forth a new day, his sustaining power finds us once more.

He pleads through his words, “don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”
He knows, his power & provisions are enough for today. Not the past or future.
Today.
Life’s precious moments flee too quickly to just give it away to the enemy of worry.

He asks, pleads, whispers to our souls, “today.”
Today I will provide you your manna, power, love, strength, wisdom, & grace.
One day at at time. One step at a time he meets us.
But in today–take ALL he offers. He graciously gives, abundantly and freely his gifts.

Today I bow low.
Today I utter thanksgiving.
Today I sing to the King of Kings.
Today I call out to my Savior & he hears.
Today my heart worships him.
Today I shall sing his praise.
Today I am saved by grace.
Today I deserve not one gift, not one breath of life & so today I respond to him by giving my life abandoned for his sake.

Today.

 Let all that I am praise the Lord;
    with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
 Let all that I am praise the Lord;
    may I never forget the good things he does for me.
He forgives all my sins
    and heals all my diseases.
 He redeems me from death
    and crowns me with love and tender mercies.
