Summer Essentials

With the Summer season I would say, the time of the year most of us lather dangerous toxins all over our skin. From sunscreen to bug spray to lotion, what you are putting on your skin this Summer matters! These products you place on your skin goes directly into you r bloodstream, and fast! It is often said, 60% of what we put on our skin is absorbed in 26 seconds.

Our skin is the largest organ and absorbs whatever we put on it. This is why we need to be proactive in checking labels and be proactive in reducing our toxic load. A tip I have is to download the Think Dirty App to scan your products.

This is why I am passionate about essential oils and natural solutions… with your essential oils you can make most all your own SAFE DIY items. They are quick and easy… save you money AND most importantly saves your health!

Here is my list of Summer Essentials, including recipes and my First Aid Kit that is always important to have on hand.

      • Place coconut oil in a small glass jar with a lid. Warm by running hot water over the jar until the coconut oil becomes liquid. If using the beeswax, you will need to heat the oils in the microwave or in a glass dish set in a pan of simmering water (creating a double boiler)

Pour into lip balm or travel deodorant containers, and place in the refrigerator or freezer until solid. To apply, simply twist the bottom of the tube to push the coconut oil out and rub on the bite.

*** Store in the refrigerator when not in use. Coconut oil remains solid below 76˚F.
