doTERRA Dream Convention 2018 Recap

We pack, plan prepare, sacrifice time and money to find our way to the city of Salt Lake surrounded by beautiful Mountains.

Struggles begin to arise, plans may change, and challenges meet us head-on, yet no challenge will stop us from reaching our destination; Convention.

Near and far we come by car, plane, and train.

Some may say we are crazy, standing on the outside of our walls asking, why, why must you go?

Dreamers collide from the nations, where energy flows through your veins.

Old and new friends connect, learning, growing, and celebrating together.

A family.

A family that joins in to dream together and ask, how we can serve with our gifts, these oils, and these blessings we’ve been given.

We connect in our vision to impact a life,

A life of someone needing hope in their health or the life of a child trapped in Human Trafficking, or impacting a life in a village tucked away in Kenya that longs to drink clean water.

We are the voices of millions standing up for those who’ve lost their hope and those who lost their voice.

A drop of doTERRA breathe will open your airways giving back your breath again, a drop of doTERRA Dreams will open your heart to change the world with love.

Why do I go?

Because I dare to hope.

Last year I shared my doTERRA convention recap with you as it was my first time attending. This second time around I was able to take Branden with along with 8 others from my team! It was so fun to have my friends join me as they experience their first convention!

One of my favorite aspects of Convention is learning more about our Co-Impact Sourcing and Healing Hands (doTERRA’s non-profit) impacts around the world. A few of Healing Hands partners: Operation Underground Railroad, Days for Girls, Mentors International, Rapha House and 3Strands Global.

doTERRA’s Healing Hands is highly involved with HUMAN TRAFFICKING EFFORTS:

They focus on 3 key aspects:

Rescue – Operation Underground Railroad assists governments around the world in the rescue of human trafficking and sex trafficking victims, with a special focus on children. Watch the amazing documentary here for there work.

Healing – Rapha House provides children with safe houses where they can live after being rescued from trafficking, to help them heal and rehabilitate in a secure, loving environment. Rapha House currently has aftercare facilities in Cambodia, Thailand and Haiti.

Prevention 3Strands Global provides prevention education training and curriculum to students and educators to help prevent exploitation and victimization. Through the PROTECT program, educators and school personnel are provided with an online training program, as well as 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th grade curriculum and vetted resources to use in their classroom.

Other Convention Highlights:

  • Medical Panel – Learning more on ways to use oils for infertility and hormones.
  • Vet panel – We learned more ways to using oils safely and powerfully with our pets. doTERRA also announced a new Vet Advisory Board.
  • Hugh Jackman surprised us with a performance and chat. He was SO humble, funny, and inspiring. He shared how it took almost 8 years for The Greatest Showman to be made and the perseverance to stick with it.
