A page has turned. Writing 2012.

A page has turned. We’ve closed the doors on 2011 and opened the pages of 2012. Some of us look back at the story of 2011 with joy, heartache, sorrow, happiness, tears, smiles, agony, grief, and love.

But His mercies are new every morning.

Be still and and wait on 2012.

22-24 God’s loyal love couldn’t have run out,
his merciful love couldn’t have dried up.
They’re created new every morning.
How great your faithfulness!
I’m sticking with God (I say it over and over).
He’s all I’ve got left.

25-27 God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits,
to the woman who diligently seeks.
It’s a good thing to quietly hope,
quietly hope for help from God.
It’s a good thing when you’re young
to stick it out through the hard times. ~Lamentations

We are all living a story bigger than ourselves. Each year marks another chapter in the book. Some of us want to quit life when we are on a difficult chapter. Then there are those of us who want to stay living in a chapter of life forever. But that’s not how stories go. We’d never grow if that’s the case. We are people who hate change. We resist it and want to stay comfortable. In our quiet little chapter forever.

God isn’t concerned about our comfort. He’s concerned about our character. (Romans 5:3-5)

2012 is a new chapter.

Open the pages and allow Him to write a God-sized story.

Give him your dreams, your heart, your pain, your ambitions, your life.

Don’t quit when your uncomfortable or the going gets tough.

His mercies are new every morning.
